Card Making Classes - July & August 2013



Cardmaking Classes

· Everything supplied, unless stated otherwise and then only a very basic list is required.

Christmas Cards in July (it’s on again!)
After the roaring success of last year’s Christmas Cards in July Saturday Super Session we’ve decided that it was too much fun not to do again. New cards of course and a great way to kick start your Christmas Card production so that you won’t be caught out close to Christmas without any cards made!
Your basic crafting kit is required for this  class (trimmer, scissors, pencil, ruler etc). All other supplies provided.
Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Cost: $35.00
Date: Saturday 20th July 2013 - 1.30pm to 5pm

Because of the popularity of this class we have always had to repeat it a second time. This year I’m getting in first and putting on 2 of the same class so that everyone has a chance to book in!

One Stamp Different Ways
Have you ever bought a stamp, used it once and then struggled with how you could use it differently? In this class you will make cards featuring the same stamp, used in a number of different ways. It’s a great way to expand that creativity and learn to see stamps as flexible card making tools.
Your basic crafting kit is required for this  class (trimmer, scissors, pencil, ruler etc). All other supplies provided.
Level: Intermediate

Layers and Layers of Goodness
Layering different colours and textures is a great technique to take your card making from simple and basic, to eye catching!
In this class we will make a number of different cards that showcase layering and give you an idea on how to choose different colours and textures to makes your cards stand out!
Your basic crafting kit is required for this  class (trimmer, scissors, pencil, ruler etc). All other supplies provided.

Basic Stamping
COSTS ONLY $20 AND AT THE END OF THE CLASS YOU
RECEIVE A $10 VOUCHER TO SPEND IN THE SHOP.
In this class you will learn about the various types of inks available, their uses and those that can be used for scrapbooking too.  You will practise your stamping technique so that you can achieve a perfect image every time!   You will play with embossing powders and discover the magic of making your images come alive as they emerge from the page.  Practise adding colour to your stamped images using several methods and learn the basics of shading and how to blend colours for that really professional finish.
All materials and tools are supplied.

Advanced Die Cutting & Embossing
Did you miss out on this class in the past? Here is your chance to attend this very popular class.
Do you have a die cutting machine but not really got past using it with embossing folders? Have you bought some fancy dies but can’t get the best cutting results? Well come along to this class and you will learn some tricks of the trade and some lovely techniques to really make your cards unique.
You will need to bring your own die cutting machine and some dies & folders to use. We supply & advise on the Cuttlebug machine so if you wish to bring you BigShot or other branded die cutting machine feel free but make sure you know which sandwich patterns are needed for your particular machine.
Level: Intermediate/Advanced (Basic die cutting experience IS required for this class).

White on White
A return of our popular card kit classes! In this class you will make several cards that feature white on white creations. Always stunning but sometimes daunting! In this class you will see how easy it is to create beautiful white on white cards.
You will need to bring your basic crafting kit to this session – trimmer, craft knife, score board, pencil, ruler etc. All paper, tape and other consumable supplies are provided.

Irresistible Cards
In this class you will make several cards featuring different resist techniques, producing irritable cards as a result!
You will need to bring your basic crafting kit to this session – trimmer, craft knife, score board, pencil, ruler etc. All paper, tape and other consumable supplies are provided.

Advanced Stamping Techniques
This is the perfect follow on for our Basic Stamping Class, so if you’ve attended a basic class and you are ready to take on some advanced techniques to really make your cards stand out, then this is the lass for you.
Learn how to mask, create gorgeous water colour effects, stamp kissing (yes kissing!) and other techniques to enhance your artwork and give it that something special.
You will need to bring your basic crafting kit to this session – trimmer, craft knife, score board, pencil, ruler etc. All paper, tape and other consumable supplies are provided.
Level: Intermediate/Advanced (stamping experience IS required for this class).

Technique Tags
Want to learn some nifty techniques! We will make a range of different tags using a number of different techniques with distress inks, alcohol inks, foil sheet & more. Lots of fun but it’s bound to get a bit messy so your Sunday Bests are not recommended!

Cards with a Difference #4
Never Ending Card
Continuing with our cards with a difference series, in this class you will learn how to make a never ending card! I can’t really explain it any more than that......
